I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a certified ACT therapist, meaning my training is in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. ACT is a powerful new form of evidence-based therapy; it combines elements of traditional -cognitive behavioral therapy with non-traditional elements of mindfulness to guide people towards lasting change. It’s very flexible and can help across the spectrum of problems we encounter throughout our lives – from stress management and social coaching to the more painful issues of anxiety, depression, and past abuse.
